Enstrom Helicopter Corporation has completed presenting a factory standard technical course in South Africa at Grand Central Airport, Midrand, Gauteng.

The course, which spanned a period of a week, covered all the technical aspects of the Enstrom 280 Piston and 480 Turbine helicopter range, and will enable the attendees to obtain aircraft maintenance engineer (AME) ratings on the Enstrom product range.

Attending the course were aircraft technicians from various South African aircraft maintenance organisations (AMOs), training schools and a representative of the South African Civil Aviation Authority.

The course was presented by Enstrom International technical training representative, Charles Powis, who has presented courses globally (including training for the Thai Army) as the Enstrom fleet expands.

This has been the first factory standard technical course presented by the Enstrom Helicopter Corporation in Africa, and shows Enstrom’s continued commitment to its expansion within Africa, and will be the first of many technical courses to be presented, including recurring training.

The course was presented in co-operation with Safomar Aviation, the sole distributor of the Enstrom helicopter range in Africa.
