Defence and security company Saab is pleased to announce its attendance at the ninth edition of Africa Aerospace and Defence 2016 (AAD2016) taking place from 14-18 September 2016 at Air Force Base Waterkloof, in Centurion, South Africa.
The biennial event will include a trade exhibition from 14 to 16 September that provides companies with a platform to showcase their offerings, available only to trade. An air show of demonstrations and aerobatic displays, which is open to the public, will take place on 17-18 September to highlight the industry’s latest aircraft and aerospace innovations.
“AAD2016 is one of the biggest exhibitions for the aerospace and defence industry in Africa, and has great strategic importance for Saab,” says Hans Rosen, head of country unit Africa, EMEA at Saab. “We are known as a reliable partner and a source of strategic defence, security and aerospace technology, and look forward to expanding our operations across Africa.”
While Saab serves the global market with world-leading products, services and solutions from military defence to civil security, its presence at AAD2016 aims to expand Saab’s footprint across the Africa region, looking at a number of opportunities also outside South Africa.
Saab will be onsite to discuss a number of its defence and security solutions, including the Integrated Defence Aids Suite (IDAS) and the Saab 340 Maritime Surveillance (MSA) system – both signal tracking defence systems designed for airborne platforms – as well as the Land Electronic Defence System (LEDS) for land combat vehicles.
Capability information about its Mobile Medical Care Solutions systems for field facilities and operations, as well as its various ground-based and maritime radar capabilities, land operations, combat readiness solutions and flexible accessories, such as camouflage solutions, will be available.
