March 7, 2019 – Russia’s State Corporation Rostec will take part in CIEX, the largest industrial exhibition in North China, which will be held from March 7 through March 10 in Tianjin. Delegations from China and other countries will have an opportunity to learn about the Corporation’s civilian products.

For instance, Russian Helicopters will show videos of a modern range of civilian helicopters made in Russia. Visitors and participants of the exhibition will have a chance to learn about the state-of-the-art Ka-226T, Ansat and Ka-62 helicopters, and the Mi-17 and Ka-32A11BC machines which have proved to be effective during operation in China. Currently, China operates over 300 helicopters produced in Russia and in the Soviet Union.

“Historically, China has been a strategic partner of Rostec. We actively cooperate with China in various fields of industry and technology, and primarily in aviation where we carry out large-scale projects such as the CR929 wide-body liner and the AHL heavy-lift transport helicopter,” said Victor Kladov, Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy at Rostec. “We see great potential for strengthening cooperation between companies of North China and Rostec. Therefore, this year we take part in CIEX for the first time. I am convinced that this exhibition will give us a great opportunity to learn about new products of the Chinese industry, and to present our own state-of-the-art developments and technologies to both the existing and potential partners.”

Currently, Rostec and the largest Chinese State corporations have signed 7 agreements on strategic partnership covering various areas of cooperation in the field of civil and dual-use technologies. Under these agreements, several projects in various industries are being successfully implemented.

Rostec is actively developing cooperation between Russia and China in aviation sphere. For instance, Russian Helicopters implements projects related to providing additional equipment, authorization and certification of the existing technical service centres for Russian rotary-wing aircraft in various regions of China and also creates new centres. In late 2018 a road show of the new Ansat and Mi-171A2 helicopters in ASEAN countries started in Zhuhai. The machines demonstrated their performance at Airshow China and then made a tour across Southeast Asia. Russian Helicopters received hard and soft orders for 70 machines after the demo tour.
