Paramount Group enhances world-leading land systems capability through acquisition of specialist armoured vehicle design firm


Africa’s largest privately-owned defence and aerospace company, Paramount Group, has acquired the South African-based specialist design and engineering firm, Industrial & Automotive Design (IAD), in a move that will bolster the company’s world-leading land systems capability.

Paramount Group has established a global reputation for the development of the most advanced land systems, and the acquisition will further enhance the company’s commanding position in the market.

With over 160 years of experience in providing innovative, automotive design solutions to industry, IADSA is one of the top three companies worldwide capable of delivering specialist in-house military vehicle designs to the market. The company is also responsible for designing the only 15-tonne mine protected vehicle able to reach speeds of 150km/h.

Globally, customers are more demanding, expecting more tailored solutions, and the purchase of IADSA allows Paramount Group to be at the absolute forefront of delivering those market-led customised solutions.
