Denel Dynamics’ new Seeker 400 UAV made its international debut from 22 – 26 February at the influential International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2009) in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. First introduced to the market during the 2008 AAD Show held in Cape Town in September, the exposure at the Middle East and North Africa region’s largest defence exhibition and conference was significant.
Seeker 400 provides the user with all the proven capabilities of the renowned Seeker II system, plus a number of tactical & strategic advantages such as greatly increased payload capacity (allowing for multi-payload missions) and enhanced flight endurance (vastly increased time over target).
"Seeker 400 will ensure that Denel Dynamics’ customers retain their competitive edge in the high-end tactical surveillance arena, without compromising on our proud record of supplying rugged, battlefield-ready, logistically well supported UAV solutions", said Tsepo Monaheng, UAV executive manager at Denel Dynamics.
IDEX is the ultimate event for government officials and military personnel to source technology and equipment for all defence environments: land, sea and air. Over 900 companies from around the world showcase their latest products, systems and technology.
