South African defence community offers condolences to Mapisa-Nqakula


The larger South African defence community has expressed shock at the death of Chumani Nqakula, son of Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.

In a statement the Department of Defence; the SA National Defence Force; SANDF Chief General Solly Shoke Secretary for Defence Dr Sam Gulube and “the entire South African defence establishment” send condolences to the Minister, her family, relatives and friends.

Twenty-three-year-old Chumani died after being stabbed in an incident in Johannesburg at the weekend. News reports have it that a suspect was arrested and due to appear in court today.
