DRAFT ACTION PLAN FOR THE IMPLEMETATION OF THE CHILD PROTECTION REGISTER IN TERMS OF THE CHILDREN’S ACT, (NO. 38 OF 2005)

The implementation of the Children’s Act is an intersectoral responsibility. The Departments of Social Development, South African Police Services and Justice & Constitutional Development are the major roleplayers. The Department of Justice &Constitutional Development is the key department to provide information to the Departments of Social Development. The South African Police Services is the data source for the Department of Justice &Constitutional Development, and is not legally required to provide information to the Departments of Social Development.
