South Africa’s largest independent defence technology business, Paramount Group, is lending a very special hand – or hands – to charity at AAD 2010.
Visitors to AAD, the international defence show in Cape Town, are being invited to come to Paramount’s stand, 5N4, to decorate one of the company’s armoured vehicles with multi-coloured hand prints.
For every print on the Maverick internal security vehicle, Paramount founder Ivor Ichikowitz has pledged to donate R250 to the official AAD Youth Development Programme charity.
The Youth Development Programme supports the teaching of science, maths and technical subjects in South African schools.
Ivor Ichikowitz said: “As a proudly African business we are delighted to support the AAD Youth Development Programme in its quest to develop the education and skills of young people. We look forward to them becoming the foundation of Africa’s aerospace, defence and technological future.”
