RobecoSAM awarded the group with the highest score in the aerospace and defence sector for sustainability performance.
Thales has been added to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Europe and World published by asset manager RobecoSAM, which awarded the group with the highest score in the aerospace and defence sector for sustainability performance.
These extra-financial indices are the most widely recognised by international investors (1), and only include companies with very high social responsibility performance ratings.
Out of 39 aerospace and defence companies assessed worldwide, only six are considered as highly sustainable.
By awarding Thales the highest score in its sector, RobecoSAM has recognised the value of the proactive policy of Corporate Responsibility pursued by the group for the last 15 years and its performance in terms of environmental, social and governance factors. Thales performed particularly well with regards to its strategy for emerging markets, environmental policy, eco-efficient products and services, labour practices and human capital development.
“We are delighted to be part of these indices, which are considered the global benchmark for sustainability performance, and proud to receive this endorsement of long-standing efforts at every level of the Thales Group to combine technological excellence with a commitment to sustainability,” said Patrice Caine, chairman and CEO of Thales.
