Joint Standing Committee on Defence gets up close and personal with Milkor 380 UAV
[Johannesburg, 21 November 2023] -Since its maiden flight in September, the Milkor 380 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been attracting significant amounts of interest from all quarters, and this includes South Africa's Parliament.
The Joint Standing Committee on Defence (JSCD), one of Parliament's two defence oversight committees, paid a visit to Milkor's manufacturing facility in Cape Town on 20 November as part of an official investigation of the capabilities of the unmanned system and discussions on future use by relevant state entities.
Milkor said the growing interest in the Milkor 380, the largest UAV to be produced in Africa, comes at a time when the use of such systems is desperately needed among the South African defence and security clusters... [Full Story...]
