Edenvale in Gauteng is the place to be on Saturday 29 June if you are a collector of military memorabilia in any number of shapes and sizes when the MOTH Shellhole Dickie Fritz, in collaboration with the SA War Graves Society, hosts another Veterans Military Fair.
There will be stalls selling memorabilia, books, antiques, CDs, models and display memorabilia, in addition to a display of vintage military vehicles, classic cars, military equipment, motorbikes, and classic VW Beetles (from Beetle Club Pretoria).
TS-Rook Sea Cadets will hold a parade and Special Forces Lt. Col. Wynand du Toit and Recce Staff Sergeant Johan Raath will speak and sign their books.
Organiser Klaus Weber said last year’s Military Fair was a great success “and we are confident it will be again, as we have our programme extended with new traders and show pieces.”
Entry fees go to the SA War Graves Society for the restoration and maintenance of war graves and monuments in South Africa. Funds raised also go to support veterans in need.
