The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) has taken delivery of the Embraer-developed Link-BR2 datalink protocol.

The datalink has been in development since 2006 in close interaction with the Committee for Implementing the Airspace Control System (Comissao de Implantacao do Sistema de Controle do Espaco Aereo – CISCEA) of the FAB`s Aeronautics Command.

It will allow the FAB to run its operations with a modern data exchange system. It can also be adapted for interoperability with the Brazilian Navy and Army on joint missions.
“It is with a great sense of satisfaction that we have participated in this important project of the Aeronautics Command,” said Orlando Jose Ferreira Neto, Embraer Executive Vice President, Defence Market.

“This product will make the Link-BR2 system operational, thus equipping the FAB with a top-quality datalink protocol, which is on the same level as the most modern datalink systems in the world.”
