Berry Aviation awarded another US military airlift contract for Africa

Berry Aviation, based in San Marcos, Texas, has been awarded another contract, worth $13 million, to supply air transport services to the US military in Africa.

The US Department of Defence announced the contract on 28 June, saying it was a third option year of an existing contract. It will see Berry Aviation provide air transportation, including casualty evacuation, passenger and cargo services, and air drop throughout Trans-Sahara Africa for the US military’s Transport Command.

The latest option increases the total cumulative face value of the contract to $49 092 472 from $35 934 600. Work will be performed in the Trans-Sahara region of Africa, with a period of performance from 28 June 2016 to 27 June2017.
