1.It is standard requirement for all members of the Department of Defence to undergo a security clearance. The Defence Intelligence Division is responsible for the vetting of all members and their procedure are confidential and the vetting is done on an individual basis.
2.Members are issued with forms when they apply for security clearance and (a) member is issued with a certificate once the vetting process is completed and the (c) member is cleared by DI as the responsible authority in control of the process.(d) Any member who is experiencing problems are free to approach the DI authorities.
3.Further, all these procedures are explained to all members as standard military requirement. All members of the National Defence Force have Officers Commanding who explain these procedures to them. Consequently, all members have a reasonable amount of knowledge these matters.
