A seminar designed for the inspectors that will supervise the military exercises dubbed “Kwanza’2010”, which will involve armed forces and police effectives of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), started Sunday (yesterday) in the northern Bengo Province, in Angola.
The military exercise will take place in the quarters of the Special Troops Unit of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) in Cabo Ledo locality.
The training programme, which will end on Wednesday, is being conducted by the director of the certification committee of ECCAS forces, the Congolese Charles Richard Mondjo.
The troops are being lectured on themes relating to the norms and rules for certification of military effectives, police officers and civilians of a stand-by brigade adopted by the African Union (AU).
This exercise is being attended by 4000 effectives made up of military and police effectives, as well as civilian components from Angola, Burundi, Chad, Equatorial-Guinea, Congo Brazzaville, DRC, Gabon, São Tomé and Príncipe, Central African Republic and Cameroon.
This military exercise started last Saturday and is scheduled to end on 10 June.
