Angola, China strengthen military cooperation


Angola and China will reinforce and strengthen military cooperation in the areas of staff training and equipment supply said Zhang Bolun the ambassador of China in Luanda, Angola.

In a brief statement to press at the international airport 4 de Fevereiro, shortly after the arrival in the country of the chief of General Staff of the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army yesterday, the diplomat said he hopes that this visit can be advantageous to both side and encouraged some joint projects.

The main areas of cooperation will be the interchange of institutional delegations, staff training, military trade, supply of military equipments and others.

He said that this is the first time that a Chinese military delegation visits Angola and it is foreseen the good political, diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

The chief of General Staff of the Chinese People Liberation Army, General Chen Bindge will stay until 29 May to meet the Angolan chief of Army General Staff, General Francisco António Furtado and the Defence minister Cândido Van-Dúnem.
