Creative Space Media will be hosting its third Sovereign Security Conference at the beginning of August. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this will be a virtual event.
To be held on 6 August, the conference is expected to attract more than 300 decision-makers, technology experts and business leaders from across the sovereign security industry.
This year the Sovereign Security digital conference will continue to focus on all the elements of the security sector that make South Africa, its borders, people and infrastructure safer – from physical aspects, the current COVID-19 pandemic, to cyber security – and everything in-between, the organisers said.
“This online conference will showcase the available and imminent technologies and solutions that aim to address the dynamic changes taking place in the local and international security environment. It will highlight digital and technological innovations in the security space, provide a collaborative platform for stakeholders to address emerging Sovereign Security threats, and create unique digital networking opportunities for strategic partnerships.”
The organisers added that taking the event online will let it gain an even bigger footprint into Africa and beyond.
The conference is supported by Hensoldt South Africa, the South African Aerospace, Maritime and Defence Industries Association (AMD), Aselsan and the National Defence Industry Council (NDIC).
