Parsec has acquired higher level systems design and integration services, which have enhanced the company’s portfolio.
In June 2015, Parsec was incorporated into Ansys. As a result, the military and mining capabilities of both companies were consolidated under the Parsec brand, thereby adding a new dimension to Parsec’s value proposition. Parsec has acquired higher level systems design and integration services, which have enhanced the company’s portfolio.
As an original design manufacturer (ODM) that designs and manufactures products and subsystems for a wide spectrum of clients, Parsec is renowned for its offerings to global defence markets. In addition to the already wide range of products and services offered to a broad spectrum of clients, the Ansys defence product portfolio and integration expertise has resulted in Parsec being able to offer a wider range of turnkey solutions, from system concept stage to product manufacturing and support.
Ansys has been involved in the local defence market, with projects such as the GBADS and Rooivalk, as well as various projects in the mining sector.
“Our complementary product offerings are perfectly aligned. We offer our clients the ability to develop complete solutions and to assist them with the development of new systems and the integration of existing systems both in the defence and mining sectors. This will be done by leveraging the experience of Ansys in complementary markets. All Ansys legacy projects and products in the defence and mining sectors will now be managed by Parsec,” says Rynier van der Watt, head of Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions for Ansys.
