GEW Technologies (formerly known as Grintek Ewation) expands its global security electronics business by merging with Cassidian, the defence and security division of EADS in Germany.

South African shareholding in the company has been increased, resulting in EADS Deutschland of Germany and Kunene Finance Company of South Africa being the sole shareholders.
“This new shareholding structure takes the longstanding relationship with EADS to a new level,” said Carel van der Merwe, CEO of GEW Technologies. “The advantage of this closer relationship provides the opportunity for future growth and competitiveness on a global scale.”
