The fourth edition of Armscor’s aerospace, maritime and defence conference takes place on Tuesday a day ahead of the first trade day of Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2018.
This year’s conference will be held at Pretoria’s Southern Sun Protea Hotel and apart from hearing the thinking of top South African defence industry and military professionals will provide an opportunity to network and engage ahead of the exhibition. As the organisers have it in a statement “build pipelines and set up key meetings for AAD”.
Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula will open the conference. Secretary for Defence, Sam Gulube, and the four services of the SA National Defence Force (SANDF) will be present as will military attaches and the Armscor procurement team.
Among topics on the day’s agenda are peacekeeping in Africa, South Africa’s defence innovation, an overview of important defence projects, trends in aerospace and defence and cyber threats and data protection.
