ECM Technologies will again host its Defence Symposium, which, as usual, coincides with AAD in September, and will take place at the CSIR International Conference Centre on Thursday 18 September.
The first ECM Defence Symposium was held in 1998 and 2014 marks the ninth in the series which has become one of the highlights of the SA Defence calendar.
Attendance to the event is by invitation only and comprises a full day of presentations by international guest speakers on a range of topics, including optics, electro-optics and sensors, EOD/IEDD, chemical and biological warfare and inertial systems. Some of the highlights of the 2014 programme include:
* Radar-based surveillance systems for protection of borders and critical infrastructure;
* Next-generation night vision technologies, and
* Complete CBRN solutions (covering detection, protection and decontamination).
