defenceWeb the official exclusive online show daily partner for AAD 2020
defenceWeb's position as Africa's leading defence news portal has been cemented again, with the publication awarded the title of Official Online Show Daily Partner of the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2020 exhibition.
defenceWeb has been an official AAD media partner for many years, but this is the first time it is the exclusive Online Show Daily Partner for the exhibition, which will be held at Air Force Base Waterkloof from 16 to 20 September.
defenceWeb is proud to partner with AAD and is excited to provide world class editorial coverage and publicity for the event, which will showcase what the best of the local and international commercial aerospace and defence sectors have to offer.
As in past years, defenceWeb will be providing extensive coverage of Africa's biggest aerospace and defence show, starting with extensive pre-event and buildup news. An expanded specialist news team will cover the three trade days and two air show days, and for the first time this will include a dedicated video news service. Although AAD ends on 20 September, defenceWeb coverage will continue with post-show analysis and feedback.
Being the official online show daily will mean that defenceWeb provides up-to-the minute coverage of Africa's most important and far-reaching aerospace and defence show through stories, galleries, videos and a vast social media presence including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
"defenceWeb has an outstandingly good reputation amongst the African aerospace and defence sectors and it was an obvious choice to make them the official online show daily partner," the AAD 2020 organisers said. "defenceWeb is a source of first line information for aerospace, military and defence industry professionals and a must read for the larger defence community. We are looking forward to working with the defenceWeb team and seeing their comprehensive coverage of the show."
In addition to providing top-quality coverage, defenceWeb is ideally positioned to provide exposure to local and international companies that wish to maximise their presence in Africa and beyond. This includes through banner advertising, content (via the signature Virtual Press Office offering and Partner Content service) and video, which provides a tailored and audience-focused approach for companies.
September 2020 will mark 12 years since defenceWeb was officially launched. In that time, defenceWeb has seen tremendous growth in both reputation and traffic. Starting off with just over 1 000 readers per month in October 2008, defenceWeb recorded approximately 100 000 unique readers in January 2020 and in excess of 400 000 page views. The last decade has consolidated defenceWeb's position as Africa's leading aerospace, defence and security portal, through the publication of more than 50 000 articles and 5 000 photos.
