A Senegalese Air Force Fokker F27 Troopship 400M was badly damaged in a crash landing in Mali, injuring two crewmembers.
The crew attempted an emergency landing following an unspecified problem after departing from Mioro Airport in Mali. The aircraft came down in a field a couple of kilometres from Koussané, Mali, on November 2, resulting in the outer section of the port wing being broken off along with the undercarriage and causing substantial damage to the airframe, Air Forces Daily reports.
The aircraft, manufactured in 1979, was apparently carrying three crew and seven passengers at the time.
The Senegalese Air Force only had one F27 in its transport aircraft fleet, as well as a single CN235, C212 and Boeing 727-200.
