The South African Air Force hosted its spectacular biannual Air Capability Demonstration at the Roodewal weapons range on October 24, 2013. A wide variety of aircraft were present, including the A109, Oryx, BK 117, Seeker and C-130. The jets were there too, with impressive flying by five Gripens and five Hawks. From the impressive show of aircraft inserting troops, fighting fires, engaging in air combat and bombing targets on the ground, it was evident the Air Force is adequately dealing with whatever funding challenges it may have.
