Navantia represents advancement, naval activity and modernity, but also inherits more than 250 years’ experience in the design, construction, maintenance and conversion of the Spanish Navy’s ships.

Navantia’s activities include naval construction, propulsion and energy, ship repairs, military and civil platform control systems as well as weapons.

It is one of very few companies that has a complete capacity in the fields of design, development, production, integration and integrated logistic platform support, propulsion and naval combat systems as well as the ability to deliver fully operational vessels. Navantia also has an enviable product list in military and coastguard vessels and an enormous capacity for undertaking new projects.

Navantia has strategically situated production centres in the Ferrol Estuary, the Cartagena shipyard and the Bay of Cádiz, specialized in New Constructions, as well as Shiprepairs in the 3 areas.

Navantia’s orderbook reaches 5,7 billion euros:

  • Frigate F-105 for the Spanish Navy (last of a serie of 5).

  • 1 Frigate F-310 (of a series of 5) for the Royal Norwegian Navy .

  • 1 Strategic Projection Ship (LHD), for the Spanish Navy, launched on March 2008 and to be delivered in spring 2010.

  • 1 Submarine Scorpene (of a series of 2) for the Royal Malaysian Navy, as part of a consortium with DCNS from France.

  • 4 Submarines S-80 for the Spanish Navy.

  • Engineering and technology transfer for 6 Submarines Scorpene, as part of the DCNS-Navantia consortium, for the Indian Navy.

  • 1 Combat Support Vessel (BAC) for the Spanish Navy.

  • 4 BAM (Maritime Action Ship) for the Spanish Navy.

  • 4 Patrol Ships for Venezuela, for the vigilance of the sea.

  • 4 Patrol Ships for Venezuela, for the vigilance of the coasts.

  • 2 Ro-Ro Ferries for the company Acciona Trasmediterranea, for cargo transport.
