Armscor disposing of retired aircraft spares

Armscor has issued a tender calling for the destruction and disposal of spares for retired aircraft, including Cheetahs, Boeing 707s and Impalas.

Armscor said items up for destruction include Cheetah wings, photographic pods, Mirage III spares, Puma/Alouette spares, rocket pod pylons, ejection seats, Impala spares and equipment, photography equipment, and Alouette, Oryx, C-47TP, Frelon, Umlindi and HS125 equipment.

Destruction needs to be done in line with the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC).

Up for sale are unspecified Boeing 707 spares.

The items are kept at a warehouse in Thaba Tshwane and were available to view until bids closed on 10 December 2018.
