Finland invites bids to supply 64 fighter jets

A Finnish Hornet.Finland invited bids on Friday to supply 64 multi-role fighter aircraft to replace its ageing fleet of F/A-18 Hornet jets, due to be phased out from 2025.

Airbus and Dassault will cooperate on a future fighter.Airbus and Dassault Aviation on 25 April announced they had decided to join forces for the development and production of Europe’s Future Combat Air System (FCAS), which is slated to complement and eventually replace current generation of Eurofighter and Rafale fighter aircraft between 2035 and 2040.
 

United States to lower foreign arms sales surcharge
