The final two days (September 22 and 23) of the 2012 Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) exhibition were open to the public for spectacular air shows, which attracted some 95 000 people. Saturday September 23 started off with intermittent rain in the morning, but this cleared by midday, allowing the public to enjoy a mass parachute drop, a mini war re-enactment, and of course 35 aircraft flying displays. The weather the following day was perfect, allowing the public to enjoy one of Africa's biggest air shows.
The judging is complete and ten finalists have been chosen from more than 65 entries received.
