The organisers said the show, between 10 and 11 June, had a record-breaking six new air show acts that have never been seen before at any air show in South Africa. These six new acts were the Airlink formation of SA Airlink’s new Embraer 190 and Embraer 135; the ‘Over Under’ stunt that saw a stunt bike ridden by Nick De Wit backflip over an Extra 330SC flown by Nigel Hopkins; a twin tail formation made up of the Paramount Group AHRLAC and a Cessna 337; the inverted parachute drop from the GoodYear Eagles Pitt Special, performed for the first time by a female parachutist – Amy Shaw, who is also an airline captain for Airlink; the South African Air Force Silver Falcons in formation with a Gripen from the South African Air Force; and the jet car meltdown in which a jet car used its exhaust to ‘melt down’ another car.

The Airlink Adrenaline Show combined both action-packed motorsport and aviation into a two-day event. With over 40 acts that took place on the Saturday, show goers were treated to a variety of adrenaline filled acts that included the Torre Pitt Special Aerobatic team, the Formula Renault and Bell 407 helicopter race, the Paramount dog show, Team Xtreme, Extra 330SC race against the helicopter and a supercar, the B737-880NG from Mango airlines, Mustang Sally, Puma Energy Flying Lions in their Harvards, the GoodYear Eagles Pitt Special Aerobatic Team, the five-ship jet formation made up of two L-39 jets, two L-29 jets and an Impala jet, the Alouette II and biker display, the Huey helicopter and P-51D Mustang display, the Huey car drop, as well as many more.
